To me, it's always a good idea to always carry two sacks of something when you walk around. That way, if anybody says, "Hey, can you give me a hand?," you can say, "Sorry, got these sacks."

-Jack Handey

Once while walking through the mall a guy came up to me and said "Hey, hows it going?". So I grabbed his arm and twisted it up behind his head and said "Now whose asking the questions?"

I'm sick of following my dreams…Im just going to ask where they're going and hook up with them later.

About Me:
I was born in Houston, Texas on Aug. 20, 1986. After graduating with 1,400 other seniors, I found myself at Texas Christian University dabbling in Advertising/Public Relations and Psychology.
I currently work six days a week at the 29 Degree Tavern in Fort Worth as a waiter. During the school year I also work as an account executive for the TCU Daily Skiff newspaper. My duties there include: managing multiple accounts with different advertising schedules, meeting with clients on a day-to-day basis and conceptualizing their print and online ads. I am happiest when I am busy, and an idle day is not something I am used to.
I am also a full-time student and need only one more semester to graduate. I am self-supported as I have paid for my school and my living expenses since freshman year. This has been a determinative factor of my success thus far. I prefer to work hands on. I work much better with a team than by myself. I like thinking outside the box and prefer to work late into the night rather than getting up early. I love every aspect of the advertising world, from account management to creative. The way I see it, as long as I am in the field in some way, I cannot go wrong.
I enjoy doing many outdoor activities including wakeboarding, snowboarding, BMX, basketball, football, underwater basket weaving, spontaneous ventures and the beach.
I am not easily embarrassed (I can do that just as well on my own thank you) or shy. I feel that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and that it should be allowed without judgment.

Some things that I have learned in my life and found to be held true are:
• Time heals everything.
• You are not as poor as you think.
• Life is too short for grudges.
• It’s not what you know, it’s who you know.
• Laughter really is the best medicine.
• Your original mood determines the outcome of your day.
• Friends ARE family.
• The Houston Rockets and the Astros are the best sports teams of all time.
• Everything good in life is either illegal, immoral, or fattening.
• If everything seems to be going well, you obviously have no idea what’s going on.

If cancer had a face, I would...well, words cannot describe.

One of my really good friends from freshman year of college has been battling double lymphoma cancer for the last three years. Aside from a fantastic sense of humor and an even better outlook on life, this guy is a true inspiration.

Jordan Deathe came down with pneumonia at the conclusion of our freshman year summer. He was hospitalized, getting steadily worse, and eventually had to be put in an induced coma cause the doctors couldn't figure out what the hell was wrong. Apparently, cancer think… Continue

All waiters UNITE

Have you ever met someone that is so oblivious to the garbage spewing out of their mouth that you wonder how they dress themselves in the morning? Someone that has no filter in their brain that says, "Hey numb nuts, what your saying might be offensive to the person your talking to."

As a waiter, I have ran into a good number of these people and they always seem to amaze me. In a way, I feel sorry for them. Usually, the poor souls that actually have the cajones to eat dinner with this person end… Continue

First Blog post of all time. Get excited.

Well I did it. I finally have entered the world of what many of my friends call (very uncouth, fair warning...) "verbal diarrhea". I enter this world with hesitated anticipation as I do not know what to write or talk about. Yes, yes I know that many of you are screaming, "Your words are free on the blog, just write whatever comes to mind and it's ok because we live in a world where everyone is entitled to their opinion and nobody will judge you and it makes you feel so liberated and blah blah bl… Continue
